‘Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince’ Is Coming to iOS, Android, and Steam on September 11th With All DLC Included From the Switch Release

When Square Enix launched the monster collecting RPG *Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince* on the Nintendo Switch last year, I was immediately hooked. Despite some technical hiccups, the game's charm and engaging gameplay loop set it apart from other *Dragon Quest* spinoffs, rivaling the excellence of *Dragon Quest Builders 2*. While I anticipated a PC port similar to *Dragon Quest Treasures*, a mobile release seemed unlikely in the near future. However, Square Enix surprised everyone by announcing that *Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince* ($23.99) will be available on iOS, Android, and Steam starting September 11th, complete with all previously released DLC. This includes the content from the *Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince* Digital Deluxe Edition. You can get a glimpse of what to expect by watching the trailer below:

Square Enix has shared comparison images on their official Japanese website, showcasing the game's visuals across mobile, Switch, and Steam platforms. Here's one of those images for you to check out:

It's worth noting that the network mode for Online Battles, a feature available in the Switch version, will not be included in the Steam and mobile versions according to the store pages.

Currently, *Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince* is available on the Nintendo Switch for $59.99 for the standard edition and $84.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition. Having thoroughly enjoyed it on Switch, I'm eager to revisit it on iPhone, iPad, and Steam Deck when it launches on the new platforms on September 11th. It's fantastic to see Square Enix bringing more *Dragon Quest* titles to mobile shortly after their original platform launch. I had anticipated a mobile release by 2027, given the usual delays between console and mobile for the series, as seen with *Dragon Quest Builders*. The game is priced at $29.99 on mobile and $39.99 on Steam. You can pre-register for it on the App Store for iOS [here](link to App Store) and on Google Play for Android [here](link to Google Play). Have you experienced *Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince* on Switch, or will you be giving it a try on mobile and Steam when it releases in two weeks?
