You begin the game with a basic pair of shoes, but you won't need to stick with them for the entire journey. There are several methods to acquire new shoes. You can discover them in chests or loot them from poachers and other human enemies. However, if you prefer a more lawful approach, you can purchase them from various vendors.

Tailors, such as the one in Troskowitz, carry shoes, but these often come with subpar stats. For better quality, seek out a cobbler. You can find a cobbler in Trosky, identified on the map by a symbol resembling three red pieces in a circle, as shown below.

When you visit a cobbler like Matthew, you'll find a variety of items for sale, including shoes and horse gear. Additionally, you can purchase materials and both Blacksmith’s Kits and Cobbler’s Kits from him.

How to Repair Shoes

Repairing shoes in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* can be done in multiple ways. You can have cobblers or blacksmiths repair them by selecting the repair option when interacting with them. This brings up a menu where you can choose which items to repair and view the associated costs. These costs may be reduced if you have invested in perks under the Craftsmanship skill, which offer discounts on NPC repairs for both shoes and armor.

Alternatively, you can attempt to repair your shoes yourself, provided your Craftsmanship level is sufficient. If your skill isn't high enough, you won't be able to repair certain items. To repair your own shoes, you'll need a Cobbler’s Kit.

Cobbler’s Kits are available from various vendors, including cobblers and blacksmiths, or you might find them in chests or by looting NPCs. To use a Cobbler’s Kit, access your inventory, select the kit, and press the interact button ("E" on PC). This will open a menu displaying damaged items that can be repaired with the kit. If an item appears faded, your skill level isn't adequate to repair it. Otherwise, choose the items you wish to repair and press the interact button again to complete the process.

This guide covers the essentials of obtaining and repairing shoes in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For repairing other gear, such as armor, the process is similar but requires a Blacksmith’s Kit. Always ensure your gear is in good condition to maintain optimal performance in the game.
