HandyGames Announces Way of the Hunter: Wild America CBT for Mobile

Get ready to experience the thrill of the wild with Way of the Hunter: Wild America as it makes its way to mobile devices. If you've already enjoyed this game on PC, you're familiar with its expansive open-world hunting action. Developed by Nine Rocks Games, it first hit the market on PC and consoles back in August 2022.

Will You Get Everything in Way of the Hunter Mobile?

While you might notice some graphical downgrades due to the limitations of mobile devices, the core gameplay and all the DLCs will be available post-launch. Currently, the mobile version is in its beta phase, with THQ Nordic and HandyGames gearing up for a full release soon.

HandyGames has announced a closed beta test via a tweet and provided a form for interested players to sign up. If you're eager to join the beta, head over to their official X account to fill out the form.

Is It the Best Hunting Sim?

Way of the Hunter challenges your patience and strategic thinking, allowing you to track animals that mimic real wildlife behaviors. The game unfolds across vast open-world settings inspired by the USA and Europe, offering a sprawling 55-square-mile area to explore.

You'll have access to a range of authentic hunting weapons, from rifles to bows, and can even analyze blood splatters and animal signs to secure your trophy. Check out the game in action below.

The game's ecosystem dynamically responds to your actions, so reckless shooting can scare off wildlife, causing them to relocate. Way of the Hunter also features an in-game economy where you can sell meat to purchase better gear, hunting passes, and taxidermy trophies for your lodge. It includes both a campaign mode and a co-op mode, with full controller support on mobile.
