Hara-Kiri Fatalities Animations Found in Mortal Kombat 1, May Become Quitalities

Exciting news for Mortal Kombat 1 fans: a dataminer known as InfiniteNightZ has uncovered evidence suggesting that the iconic fighting game might soon introduce Hara-Kiri Fatalities in the form of Quitalities. Hara-Kiri finishers, a feature first seen in Mortal Kombat: Deception back in 2004, allow the losing player to perform a self-Fatality, adding a dramatic twist to the end of a match.

In a video shared by InfiniteNightZ, these animations are showcased, including those for recently released DLC characters like Ghostface. This discovery lends weight to the theory that NetherRealm Studios might be planning to integrate Hara-Kiri Fatalities into Mortal Kombat 1 through a future update. "After seeing that they're adding it to the downloaded roster now, I think it's highly possible," InfiniteNightZ remarked.

Furthermore, the dataminer pointed out that these animations are listed as Quitalities within the game's code. Quitalities, a feature from previous Mortal Kombat titles, are quick finishers that activate when a player quits a multiplayer match mid-game. "They are listed as Quitalities, there's still hope," InfiniteNightZ added optimistically.

Another prominent dataminer, Interloko, also chimed in with additional findings. Interloko revealed more Hara-Kiri animations that were missing from InfiniteNightZ's initial video, indicating that nearly all characters except Omni-Man and Conan have these animations.

Thanks @MatthewDim40523 for tag me
Here are another 2 missing from the video, so looks like only Omniman and Conan doesn't have one.

I didn't try to trigger it in the game because I'm busy finishing some stuff of the demo of my own game https://t.co/TqBKyauY0G pic.twitter.com/hL4QzLRXwf

While these discoveries are thrilling, it's important to temper expectations as neither NetherRealm Studios nor Warner Bros. Games has officially confirmed the addition of Quitalities to Mortal Kombat 1.

The game has recently seen a surge in popularity with the addition of a secret fight against Floyd, the pink ninja, and the community's efforts to uncover his unlock conditions. Additionally, fans can look forward to the T-1000 guest character, with more DLC potentially on the horizon, though nothing has been confirmed by NetherRealm.
