King’s Raid set to return following Masangsoft’s acquisition

If you were saddened by the departure of King’s Raid, I bring good news as it’s officially coming back. Masangsoft has acquired the IP for the popular mobile RPG and is preparing a full-scale revival following the shutdown on April 15th.

Originally launched in 2017, King’s Raid distinguished itself by eschewing traditional gacha mechanics in favor of a more player-friendly hero collection system. With its real-time 3D battles, expansive storyline, and high-quality character design, it garnered a dedicated fanbase worldwide, especially in Japan and Southeast Asia. Despite these strengths, operational challenges led to its closure earlier this month.

However, just days after its shutdown, Masangsoft stepped in with plans to revive King’s Raid. The company finalized its acquisition on March 17th and confirmed that development is already underway for a global relaunch. While specifics are still under wraps, a full relaunch schedule is expected to be revealed soon.

Set in the continent of Orbis, King’s Raid follows the story of Kasel, a young knight-in-training on a quest to find his missing brother. Alongside childhood friend Frey, magician Cleo, and bodyguard Roi, Kasel’s journey unfolds across a rich narrative filled with alliances, betrayals, and epic battles.

In terms of gameplay, you build teams from a wide roster of heroes divided into seven classes, each with unique roles and skillsets. Players are promised a full RPG experience with real-time PvP, massive raid battles, and deep customization through awakening and gear progression.
