Director Ji-Won Choi recently shared exciting news for Lies of P fans, combining a thank-you message with a sneak peek at upcoming content. The steampunk Pinocchio-inspired Soulslike game, released a year ago, is getting a DLC expansion and a full sequel!

Expanding the World of Lies of P

Choi's letter expressed gratitude to the fans and his team, highlighting the dedication poured into developing the DLC amidst the Korean summer heat. He promised that the DLC will build upon the strengths of the original game while addressing previously identified issues. The focus, as he stated, is on "doing better on what we did well and improving in areas we have room to grow."

The most significant reveal? Concept art showcasing P in a snowy setting, gazing up at a lighthouse, hinting at a new and perilous adventure. This is accompanied by a piece of music from the DLC's soundtrack, "Lisrim," originally composed in 2022 by onoken. A music video featuring a clockwork-weapon-wielding character rescuing a girl further emphasizes the game's unique atmosphere.

DLC Release and Beyond

While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 earnings report suggests a launch sometime in the second half of 2024. The DLC will be released alongside other titles, including The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy, Cats & Soup: Malang Town, Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe, and Project IG.

Previously released concept art showcased additional environments, including an industrial facility and a wrecked ship, offering further glimpses into the DLC's expansion of Krat's world.

Choi assures fans that this DLC is only the beginning, with a full sequel already in the works. While players wait for further details, the anticipation is certainly building for the next chapter in P's story.
