MCU Movies Ranked: A Tier List
With the release of Captain America: Brave New World, it's the perfect time to revisit the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which now boasts an impressive 35 films. Which MCU movie captures your heart the most? Do you have a special place for the early origin tales like Iron Man, or do the thrilling team-ups that concluded the Infinity Saga resonate more with you? Share your thoughts using our convenient tier list tool below.
There's a vast array of movies to choose from, and remember, this list only includes films from Kevin Feige's MCU empire, so no Sony Marvel entries this time (sorry, X-Men fans, except for Wolverine). Check out my personal tier list, which reflects my enjoyment of these films over the years:
Unfortunately, Captain America: Brave New World didn't meet my expectations, landing in the D tier due to what I believe is the MCU's clunkiest script to date. Similarly, my placement of 2024's Deadpool & Wolverine at the bottom might surprise many, but it simply didn't resonate with me. You can read more about my reasons here. However, I don't consider it the MCU's lowest point; that dubious honor goes to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which I easily placed in the D tier.
On the other hand, the top tier is reserved for the five films I consider truly exceptional. Both Captain America: Civil War and Winter Soldier are S-tier for me, masterfully exploring the emotional depth of the MCU and the thrilling world of espionage, respectively. Then there's Thor: Ragnarok, a standout comedy of the past decade, and, of course, Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, which brilliantly concluded the saga's most crucial chapter.
Do you disagree with my rankings? Do you believe No Way Home is the best of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy? Should Black Panther be in the S-tier? Feel free to create your own MCU movie tier list below and compare your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the rest of the IGN community.
