Netmarble’s Beat 'Em Up King Of Fighters ALLSTAR Is Shutting Down Soon

Netmarble's popular fighting game, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to conclude its run this year. The official announcement, appearing on Netmarble's forums, confirmed the game's closure on October 30th, 2024. In-app purchases have already been disabled, ceasing on June 26th, 2024.

This news comes as a surprise, considering the game's generally positive reception and impressive longevity (over six years). Players consistently praised its high-quality animations and engaging PvP battles. While developers alluded to a potential shortage of characters to adapt from the original King of Fighters series as a contributing factor, other underlying issues likely played a role.

Recent performance problems, including optimization issues and unexpected crashes, may have also contributed to the decision. Despite these challenges, King of Fighters ALLSTAR still managed to amass millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.

Players still wanting to experience the game have approximately four months to do so before the servers shut down in October. This provides ample time to engage in the game's legendary battles and diverse roster of characters. Download it from the Google Play Store before it's too late.
