Pokémon Sleep Development Shifts to Pokémon Works

Pokemon Sleep Development Transitioned to Pokémon Works

The Pokémon Company's subsidiary, Pokémon Works, will assume primary development responsibilities for Pokémon Sleep, previously managed by Select Button. This transition, announced within the Japanese app, marks a shift in the game's ongoing development and future updates.

Initially, Select Button and The Pokémon Company collaborated on Pokémon Sleep. However, a recent in-app announcement details a gradual handover of development and operation to Pokémon Works. The global app's news section hasn't yet reflected this change.

Pokémon Works, established earlier this year, is a joint venture between The Pokémon Company and Iruka Co., Ltd. Its location in Shinjuku, Tokyo, is close to ILCA, known for its work on Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokémon HOME. Pokémon Works' representative director, Takuya Iwasaki, highlights the company's commitment to enhancing the Pokémon experience, aiming to make interactions with Pokémon more engaging and accessible for all. The specific impact of this transition on Pokémon Sleep's future remains to be seen. The company's past contributions include work on Pokémon HOME.
