Riot Games made a notable appearance at this year's DICE Summit, where co-founder Marc Merrill engaged in a conversation with Stephen Totilo post-event. Merrill shared his aspirations for the future, with a significant focus on launching an MMO set within the expansive universe of League of Legends and Arcane. This project, which occupies much of his time, is fueled by his passion for the MMO genre and a strong belief in its potential success, driven by the desire of League of Legends fans to dive deeper into their beloved universe.

While Merrill was enthusiastic about the project, he kept the details under wraps, including any potential release dates. He humorously mentioned hoping for a launch before the first human steps on Mars, leaving fans curious about when they might get to explore this new world.

In addition to the MMO, Riot Games is also developing another title set in the League of Legends universe: 2XKO, a much-anticipated fighting game. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO has already been showcased with trailers and is slated for release before the year's end, much to the excitement of fans who have been eagerly awaiting its arrival.
