The Last of Us Part 2 PC Specs:
Turning our attention to No Return mode, Sony announced the addition of two new characters: Bill and Marlene from The Last of Us Part I. Bill brings a "Smuggler" playstyle, enabling him to access a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and receive double rewards from drops. He's stronger against melee attacks but can't dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, introduces a "Risk Taker" playstyle with a Custom Assault Rifle and "All or Nothing" gambits, allowing her to reroute her No Return path once per run.
Additionally, four new maps are being introduced to No Return mode:
- Overlook: Set high above Seattle with vertical gameplay, known for a Seraphites encounter.
- School: An abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina face the W.L.F.
- Streets: Located in the overgrown Hillcrest neighborhood of Seattle.
- Nest: Familiar to players who have played as Abby in an Infected-infested building.
All this new content for No Return, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch, Sony confirmed.
In light of recent changes regarding PlayStation Network requirements, The Last of Us 2 Remastered on PC includes an optional PSN log-in feature. Logging in to PSN grants access to the PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies. As an incentive, players who sign in with their PSN account will receive 50 in-game points to activate bonus features and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming PS5 game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
PS5 players can also unlock the Jordan’s jacket skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.
Earlier this month, The Last of Us director Neil Druckmann provided insights into Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet during an interview with Alex Garland, the writer of the zombie movie 28 Days Later. Druckmann revealed that the game has been in development for four years and aims to explore themes of faith and religion in an alternate historical timeline, with Tati Gabrielle starring as Jordan A. Mun.
The PC release of The Last of Us 2 Remastered comes just before the second season of HBO's successful TV adaptation, with showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin confirming the return of spores in the upcoming season.
