Square Enix Announces The EOS Of Romancing SaGa Re:universe
Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While this might not be entirely unexpected, it's certainly a bittersweet moment for players. The Japanese version, however, will continue operation.
Two Months Remain
With the December shutdown looming, in-app purchases of jewels and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased following the September 29th, 2024 maintenance.
Launched in June 2020, the global version's four-year run is coming to a close. Despite boasting stunning visuals, a captivating soundtrack, and a generous gacha system, Romancing SaGa Re:universe received mixed reviews globally.
Unlike its popular Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked significant content updates, notably the Solistia content and 6-star unit upgrades. The absence of this content, available in Japan for nearly a year, contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately, the server closure.
Your Thoughts?
Square Enix has already shut down several titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games, adding Romancing SaGa Re:universe (global) to the list.
This classic SaGa series-inspired, turn-based RPG gives players two more months to enjoy its gameplay. Whether you're a veteran or a curious newcomer, you have until December to experience Romancing SaGa Re:universe. Download it now on the Google Play Store.
