"Square Enix Hints at Visual Upgrades for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PS5"

The PC version of the game not only boasts significantly enhanced visuals compared to its PS5 counterpart but also offers a more stable performance. This disparity has sparked discussions within the gaming community about the necessity for an update tailored for Sony's console. Currently, PlayStation 5 players are facing issues such as blurry visuals when using performance mode, leaving base console owners with no choice but to await forthcoming patches. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi has acknowledged the potential for improvements within the technical constraints of the PS5, stating, "After releasing the promo for the PC version, we received numerous requests for a similar update for the PS5 version, and I believe we would like to do it at some point within the limits of what's possible with the PS5 version's performance."

The gaming community is eagerly anticipating that Square Enix will heed these fan requests and enhance the visual quality on consoles. While the development team is diligently working on the sequel, Hamaguchi has encouraged fans to remain patient, promising that more details will be disclosed in due time. He highlighted that 2024 proved to be a prosperous year for Final Fantasy Rebirth, the second installment of the trilogy, which garnered global attention and secured multiple awards. Looking ahead, the third installment of Final Fantasy VII presents unique challenges as the developers strive to expand the game's fan base.

Notably, game director Hamaguchi also expressed interest in other major releases of the year, including Grand Theft Auto VI. He extended support to the Rockstar Games team, acknowledging the immense pressure they face following the phenomenal success of GTA V.
