This guide details the location and completion strategies for the three towers in Thorncrown Rises within Wuthering Waves, unlocking the "Shadow of the Past" quest.

Begin your journey by speaking with Botim, situated south of the Rinascita-Ragunna-Thessaleo Fells northern Resonance Beacon. He'll explain the ancestral site under his care, plagued by shadowy creatures emerging from three ancient towers. Completing his task rewards you handsomely and initiates the "Shadow of the Past" quest.

Thorncrown Rises Tower Locations

Three towers must be explored to fully complete the "Shadow of the Past" quest, which is divided into three sub-quests:

• Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise: The northeastern tower.
• Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise: The southern tower.
• Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise: The southwestern tower.

Resounding Rise

The Resounding Rise tower lies northeast of Thorncrown Rises. Speak to Itzel, positioned east of the tower, to begin the sub-quest. Inside, navigate the tower by:

1. Activating the painting at the hallway's end.
2. Following the quest marker to confront and defeat the Abyssal Mercator.
3. Collecting supply chests in the northern, western, and eastern rooms.
4. Confronting and defeating additional Abyssal Mercators.
5. Following the quest marker, defeating another Abyssal Mercator, and activating a final painting.
6. Opening a chest to stop attacking enemies and defeating a blocking enemy.

Finally, solve the painting puzzle:

1. Move the top-left painting to the bottom-right display.
2. Move the painting behind the top-left display to the bottom-left display.
3. Move the top-right painting to the top-left display.
4. Move the painting behind the bottom-right display to the top-right display.
5. Collect the Premium Supply chest.

Defeat a final Abyssal Mercator, speak with Itzel to receive a Tidal Supply chest, and weaken one Command Rise Tower barrier.

Twilight Rise

Travel southeast to the Twilight Rise tower and speak with Insula to enter. Follow the quest marker until encountering a time loop. Then:

1. Investigate the three marked locations for clues.
2. Speak with Insula.
3. Enter the secret passage under the elevator.
4. Defeat the Abyssal Patricius.
5. Collect a supply chest and continue following the quest marker.
6. Defeat the Abyssal Patricius again.
7. Speak with Insula.
8. Collect the Tidal Supply chest.

This completes the Twilight Rise sub-quest and weakens the second Command Rise Tower barrier.

Command Rise

After completing the first two sub-quests, the Command Rise sub-quest automatically begins. Here's what to do:

1. Speak with Insula and Itzel at the camp northeast of the Command Rise Tower.
2. Use the Wingray to fly to the Command Rise Tower.
3. Enter the tower and follow the quest marker.
4. Collect supply chests, utilizing the grapple to reach higher areas.
5. Defeat the Abyssal Patricius.
6. Collect the chest and continue grappling upwards, exploring for additional chests and two Ragunna Sonance Caskets.
7. Use the chandelier mechanism to reach the tower's peak.
8. Speak with Insula and Itzel after discovering Liel's demise.
9. Use the portal to confront and defeat the Abyssal Patricius, claiming the Call of the Abyss Rectifier and a Premium Supply chest.

Exiting via the portal and speaking with Insula and Itzel rewards you with the "King of Thessaleo" and "Shadow of the Tower" achievements.
