Team Go Rocket Returns for Pokémon Go Fashion Week and Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day

Get ready for an exciting Pokémon GO event during the upcoming Fashion Week: Taken Over, running from January 15th to January 19th. This event not only offers a stylish twist but also brings thrilling encounters with Team Go Rocket. You'll have the chance to battle Giovanni and rescue the powerful Shadow Palkia. Additionally, don't miss out on the opportunity to capture Shadow Ho-Oh during the Shadow Raid Day event scheduled for January 19th.

Pokémon GO's Fashion Week introduces the debut of Shroodle and its evolved form, Grafaiai. You can hatch Shroodle from 12 km Eggs, adding a fresh element to your collection. Expect to see more Team Go Rocket appearances at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample chances to use a Charged TM to replace the Frustration move on your Shadow Pokémon.

The event also brings back Shadow Pokémon with new additions such as Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Keep an eye out for Shiny versions among these rescues. You can battle these Shadow Pokémon in various Shadow Raids, and for the first time, you can participate using Remote Raid Passes from anywhere.

Engage in the special research task that will lead you to obtain a Super Rocket Radar, setting the stage for an epic showdown with Giovanni to rescue Shadow Palkia. The event includes Field Research tasks with rewards like Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Completing a special Collection Challenge will earn you Stardust and an encounter with Trubbish.

On Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, join the Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day. This event offers additional Raid Passes and a higher chance of encountering Shiny Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh caught during this time will have the chance to learn the powerful Charged Attack Sacred Fire. You can also purchase an event ticket for $5 to access numerous extra rewards.
