This year's TennoCon delivered some incredible news, most notably the upcoming Warframe: 1999 update. Get ready for a wild ride through a retro-futuristic 1999, brimming with Y2K-era style and a deadly Techrot virus.

Before the main event arrives in Winter 2024, a prologue quest, "The Lotus Eaters," launches in August 2024. This quest reunites players with a beloved Warframe character and sets the stage for the 1999 storyline. It also introduces Sevatgoth Prime and their unique weapons. Completing "The Lotus Eaters" is a prerequisite for playing Warframe: 1999.

Warframe: 1999 plunges players into a Techrot-infested 1990s city, Höllvania, on an alternate Earth. Navigate this corrupted landscape using the new Atomicyles, vehicles capable of bullet jumps, drifts, and even explosive maneuvers. Players control six members of the Hex team, each sporting a Protoframe Warframe that reveals the human within.

The Hex team boasts a star-studded cast of voice actors, including Alpha Takahashi, Ben Starr, Melissa Medina, and Amelia Tyler. Interact with them through in-game instant messaging for a truly authentic 1999 experience.

Prepare to face off against On-lyne, a 90s boy band infected by the Technocyte Coda and led by the charismatic Zeke (voiced by Nick Apostolides). Their infectious music is available now on all major streaming platforms.

Fashion reigns supreme in Warframe: 1999. The updated fashion system lets players equip two Warframe loadouts, seamlessly switching between them. The introduction of Gemini Skins allows Protoframes like Arthur and Aoi to enter the Origin system, complete with fully voiced dialogue.

Beyond Warframe: 1999, Digital Extremes announced a collaboration with THE LINE animation studio for a related anime short. Additionally, new Heirloom skins for Ember (available now) and Rhino (coming early 2025) are on their way.
