Texas Chainsaw Legacy Roars Back June 2024

Sumo Digital has released a significant update for Texas Chain Saw Massacre, slated for June 25th, 2024. This patch focuses primarily on resolving character skill tree issues for Cook, Julie, and the recently added killer, Hands. In addition to these crucial skill tree adjustments, the update also tackles various UI and visual bugs to enhance the overall gameplay experience.

The game, an asymmetrical horror title inspired by the 1974 classic film, pits players against each other in a thrilling 3v4 showdown. Players can choose to embody members of the terrifying Sawyer family or become one of their unsuspecting victims.

Key improvements in this update include: the introduction of the Hitchhiker’s Claymore outfit (available for $2.99 USD); a refined lobby cooldown penalty for smoother matchmaking; and comprehensive fixes to several skill tree problems. Specifically, the update addresses an exploit impacting Hands' stamina, ensuring his abilities function correctly across all tiers. Cook and Julie's skill trees have also been adjusted to allow players to reach level 10 across all paths, resolving previous progression barriers. Further improvements include fixing visual glitches, such as incorrect perk displays and issues with Maria's hair and model textures. These fixes address user feedback and aim to deliver a more polished and immersive gaming experience.
