How To Find & Use Thermite in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2
Vaults are back in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2: Lawless, but cracking them open is tougher than ever. Luckily, Epic Games has provided the perfect tool for aspiring heist artists: Thermite. This guide explains how to find and use it.
Navigating the new season's loot pool can be tricky, but Thermite is readily available. You can find it as floor loot, in chests, purchase it with Bars at Black Markets and Outlaw Vending Machines (located in Crime City, Seaport City, Lonewolf Lair, and Masked Meadows), or even snag it from Go Bags.
Adding Thermite to your inventory is simple, but choosing where it fits in your loadout might require some strategizing. Fortunately, Thermite is versatile.

The primary use for Thermite is, of course, vault breaching. Place it against the vault door and wait for the explosion. Targeting weak points speeds up the process. Be warned: other players will likely be drawn to the sound of the explosion, hoping to steal your hard-earned loot.
Alternatively, you can throw Thermite as a makeshift explosive. It has a short fuse, but once it detonates, it creates a fiery explosion, damaging nearby enemies. While not the most powerful explosive in Fortnite, it's a handy tool in a tight spot.
