The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues to unfold, with the Siren Isle update already in place and Season 2 slated for a 2025 release. This upcoming season promises a wealth of new endgame content and the next chapter in the current expansion. Patch 11.0.7 introduces several new story quests that set the stage for Patch 11.1, which will delve into the Goblin capital, Undermine. Additionally, a series of quests will conclude the tragic tale of Dalaran's destruction, though these won't be immediately available upon the patch's launch.

Dalaran, a long-standing fixture in Warcraft and World of Warcraft, faces an uncertain future following the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides a fitting conclusion to its story, offering a poignant farewell to a city that was a vital social hub during Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Start the Patch 11.1 Prologue

The Lingering Shadows campaign, unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, is immediately accessible. You don't need to have completed the leveling or Level 80 campaigns, but doing so will provide essential context and prevent spoilers. The Lingering Shadows campaign includes the following quests:

• No Breathing Room
• Together, Alone
• The Voice
• Ringing in the Deeps
• Good Help These Days
• Hey, What's Going On?
• Haywired and Hostile
• Built to Blast

• Found Friends

After completing Found Friends, engage with Orweyna. Her quest, while not part of the main campaign, offers valuable insights into future plot developments in The War Within and other World Soul Saga expansions.

How to Start Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, the Dalaran Epilogue was time-gated for three weeks upon the patch's release. As of January 7th, this restriction has been lifted. To unlock this campaign, you must have completed both the leveling campaign for The War Within and the Level 80 campaign, requiring at least Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions.

To check if you meet these criteria, visit Foundation Hall, where you start the prologue quests for Patch 11.1. If Khadgar is present, you can receive the quest from him starting January 7th or later. His absence indicates remaining campaign quests to complete. Upon completing this campaign, you will unlock the Fate of the Kirin Tor achievement and earn the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
