El estado técnico de Monster Hunter Wilds en PC es catastrófico

El último título de Capcom, mientras que un éxito de Steam Top-Ten, enfrenta fuertes críticas por su rendimiento técnico deficiente en PC. El análisis en profundidad de Digital Foundry revela defectos significativos que afectan el juego en varias configuraciones de hardware.

Sus pruebas descubrieron numerosos problemas. Los tiempos de compilación de sombreadores son excesivamente largos, que van desde 9 minutos en un sistema 9800X3D de alta gama hasta más de 30 minutos en un Ryzen 3600. La calidad de la textura es decepcionante, incluso en configuraciones "altas", con deficiencias notables observadas incluso en un RTX 4070 con 12 GB VRAM. Un RTX 4060 a 1440p con DLSS equilibrado experimentó picos de tiempo de marco significativos en configuraciones "altas".

Para GPU con solo 8 GB de VRAM, Digital Foundry recomienda reducir la calidad de la textura a "medio" para aliviar la tartamudez. Sin embargo, este compromiso aún resulta en imágenes menos que ideales. Los movimientos rápidos de la cámara provocan constantemente picos de tiempo de marco, aunque menos severos con movimientos más lentos. De manera crucial, los problemas de tiempo de marco persisten incluso con texturas de baja resolución.

Alex Battaglia de Digital Foundry atribuye estos problemas a la transmisión de datos ineficiente, lo que ejerce una tensión indebida en la GPU durante la descompresión. Esto es especialmente problemático para las GPU presupuestarias, lo que resulta en caídas de la velocidad de fotogramas. Aconseja contra la compra del juego para los propietarios de GPU de 8GB y expresa reservas incluso para cartas más poderosas como el RTX 4070.

Las GPU de las Intel le va particularmente mal, con el ARC 770 logrando solo 15-20 cuadros por segundo, acompañados de texturas faltantes y artefactos visuales. Si bien los sistemas de alta gama pueden mitigar parcialmente estos problemas, una experiencia consistentemente suave sigue siendo difícil de alcanzar. La optimización de la configuración sin compromisos visuales significativos actualmente resulta casi imposible.
