Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1

Author : Lillian Update : May 02,2025

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing new quests designed to encourage competitive play with a focus on achieving the fastest clear times. In response to this update, Capcom has issued a stern warning to its community about the consequences of cheating. The company is committed to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment and has announced that it will take decisive action against any fraudulent activity.

In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom explicitly stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This warning underscores Capcom's dedication to preserving the integrity of the game.

Moreover, Capcom has extended its warning to include players who participate in multiplayer hunts with cheaters. Such participation could lead to an invalid quest completion time and the revocation of rewards for all members of the party. Capcom advises players to be cautious and avoid playing with those engaging in or suspected of prohibited activities. The company encourages players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.

The new quests introduced in Title Update 1 will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This system explains Capcom's stringent measures against cheating, as it directly impacts the fairness and distribution of rewards.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter located in the Grand Hub in Suja. To participate, players must first complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. Make sure to head there as soon as Title Update 1 becomes available tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
