Diablo 4 Unveils Consumables for Season 5
Diablo IV Season 5 Leaked: Four New Consumables Revealed for Infernal Hordes Mode
Exciting new details about Diablo IV Season 5 have emerged from this week's Public Test Realm (PTR) opening. The focus? Four brand-new consumables exclusive to the upcoming Infernal Hordes endgame mode.
Consumables in Diablo IV restore resources or grant temporary buffs, obtainable through monster kills, chests, crests, or merchants. Existing types include healing potions, elixirs (for stat boosts like increased armor), and incense (for increased maximum life or elemental resistance).
According to Wowhead, Season 5 introduces these additions:
- Antipathy: A rare anointment increasing player resistance.
- Blackblood: A common anointment boosting a random core stat.
- Vitriol: A magical anointment enhancing damage over time.
- Triune Anointment Cache: A new cache containing anointments, rare gear, and crafting materials.
Crucially, the PTR reveals recipes for these anointments, suggesting crafting will be involved. The consumables are specifically tied to Infernal Hordes, a new roguelite endgame mode featuring 90-second enemy waves and three modifier choices after each wave completion. Difficulty scales rewards, mirroring the challenge.
Infernal Hordes also introduces Abyssal Scrolls, functioning similarly to Helltide's Profane Mindcage Elixir, allowing players to increase the challenge.
While the PTR remains open until July 2nd, details on acquisition methods, usage costs, and crafting material requirements for these new consumables are still under wraps. Stay tuned for further updates as players delve deeper into the Season 5 PTR.
