Disco Elysium Mobile Launched: ZA/UM Targets TikTok Audience

ZA/UM has recently unveiled plans for a mobile version of the critically acclaimed game, Disco Elysium, exclusive to Android devices. This move aims to introduce the game to a broader audience while providing a convenient, on-the-go experience for existing fans. The first two chapters will be available for free, with a one-time payment option to unlock the full game without ads.

The studio emphasized their commitment to transparency, allowing players to try the game before committing to a purchase. "We want players to make an informed decision about their potential purchase," ZA/UM stated, highlighting their dual role as creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium intellectual property.

"We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment," Havel remarked.

Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing new 360-degree scenes designed to immerse mobile users in the world of Revachol. The mobile version also features new audio with full voiceover, enhancing the character-rich experience.

PlayThe official description highlights that this version is a complete re-imagination of Disco Elysium, tailored for mobile users' habits. It's optimized for short play sessions, making it ideal for players to enjoy anytime, anywhere on their mobile devices.

Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," designed for engaging, bite-sized gameplay experiences. Disco Elysium is set to launch on Google Android in the summer of 2025.

It's important to note that while the studio name remains ZA/UM, many key contributors to the original Disco Elysium have since left. Several former members are now working on spiritual successors to the game.
