Epic Games Store Lands on Mobile with 20 New Games and a Free Game Program

After months of anticipation, Epic Games has officially launched its store on mobile devices, making the Epic Games Store available on Android worldwide. To celebrate this milestone, Epic is rolling out a suite of exciting rewards, free games, and more to enhance the mobile gaming experience.

Which Games Are Available on the Mobile Epic Games Store?

The spotlight is on three major titles: Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe. Notably, Fall Guys is now accessible on mobile and can be downloaded for free from the Epic Games Store. By downloading the Epic Games Store app and any of these games, players can participate in exclusive in-game challenges to earn new cosmetics. This includes a unique Fortnite outfit with matching back bling, pickaxe, and wrap, as well as a new costume for your Fall Guys bean.

Additionally, there are more rewards to claim, such as a Fall Guys-themed pickaxe for Fortnite and a gold vehicle trim usable in both Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe. These quests are exclusively available on mobile devices.

It’s Not Just About Their Big Three Games

Beyond their flagship titles, the Epic Games Store on mobile boasts nearly 20 third-party games from various developers. Epic has also introduced the Free Games program for mobile, kicking things off with Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee, available on both Android and iOS via the Epic Games Store app until February 20th.

Playdigious has contributed to the store's diversity by making Shapez and Evoland 2 available on the Epic Store, with plans to add Cultist Simulator in the coming weeks. Additionally, Bloons TD 6 is set to join the lineup soon. While the free game offerings are currently monthly, Epic aims to transition to a weekly schedule later this year.

Navigating the complexities posed by Apple and Google regarding third-party app stores, Epic's move is a significant step towards making gaming more accessible to everyone. What are your thoughts on this development? Share your comments below.
