"The Exit 8: 3D Walking Simulator Hits Android!"

The Exit 8 has made its way to Android devices, offering a unique blend of elements. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this intriguing title is available for $3.99. It's not your typical walking simulator; it's infused with a twist that creates an eerie atmosphere, challenging players to question every step they take.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, players navigate an endless underground passageway reminiscent of a Japanese metro station. You find yourself trapped in a loop where everything from the tiles and lights to the posters and the solitary man walking toward you repeats endlessly. The core challenge lies in identifying anomalies—be it a poster with an altered graphic, lights flickering more than usual, or even something as stark as a river of blood replacing the floor. The game's mechanics revolve around noticing these subtle changes and reacting swiftly.

If you spot something unusual, you must turn back. If not, continue forward. The objective is to reach the eighth exit without making any mistakes. This means correctly identifying and reacting to anomalies eight times consecutively. Fail, and you'll have to start over.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from liminal spaces and the concept of the Backrooms. The setting mirrors real Japanese metro stations, such as Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo, encapsulating the claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture. The Exit 8 immerses players in an environment where they must scrutinize every detail for signs of danger or shifts in reality. This constant need to question your memory and perception ensures that each playthrough feels distinct.

Originally launched for PC in November 2023, The Exit 8 took about nine months to develop. It garnered an impressive 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
