Author : Isaac Update : Apr 25,2025

Exciting news for *Marvel Rivals* players: an unexpected crossover is on the horizon! The Advanced Suit 2.0 from *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2* is swinging into the game as a new skin, bringing a touch of Insomniac Games' iconic design to NetEase Games' hero shooter. PlayStation shared this thrilling update on a post on X/Twitter, offering a sneak peek at how this classic video game outfit is being reimagined for *Marvel Rivals*.

This sleek Spider-Man suit first debuted in Insomniac Games’ *Marvel’s Spider-Man* and has since appeared in all three entries of the series. Its distinguishing feature, the now-iconic white spider symbol, sets it apart and marks this collaboration with Sony as a delightful surprise. Mark your calendars for January 30, when Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 will be available in the in-game store, coinciding with the PC release of *Marvel’s Spider-Man 2*.

Since its launch in December, *Marvel Rivals* has delighted players with a variety of unlockable suits, but the addition of the Advanced Suit 2.0 stands out as particularly unique. Not only does it connect to the immensely popular PlayStation series, but it will also be worn by a Spider-Man voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who has lent his voice to Peter Parker in all three Insomniac games and now brings his talent to *Marvel Rivals*. Players who pick up this costume on January 30 will feel right at home as they web-sling to victory.

NetEase's inclusion of Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds another layer of excitement to the content introduced with Season 1: Eternal Night Falls last week. This season brought in new playable characters from the Fantastic Four, Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, with The Thing and Human Torch set to join soon. Creative director Guangyun Chen has promised to launch at least one new hero every month and a half, ensuring a steady stream of fresh content.

While we eagerly await the chance to don the new Spider-Man suit, take a moment to explore some of the custom skins players have modded into the game. Also, stay informed about all of the balance changes introduced with Season 1 and learn how some players are using an Invisible Woman ability to detect what they believe are bot players.
