The wait is finally over, and the specs of the long-rumored Nintendo Switch 2 have been unveiled, surpassing many expectations. The system boasts impressive capabilities, including support for 120fps and up to 4K resolution when docked, which is sure to excite gamers everywhere.

During today's Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo showcased a variety of the system's features. The Nintendo Switch 2 comes with a larger 7.9-inch screen compared to its predecessor, while maintaining the same thickness of 13.9mm. With approximately double the pixels, it supports a crisp 1080p display in handheld mode at up to 120fps. The screen is an LCD type, and it supports HDR, which enhances the visual experience. When docked, it can deliver up to 4K resolution with HDR, promising stunning graphics on larger screens.

The new Joy-Con 2 controllers feature a magnetic connection and can be detached with a release button on the back. The SL and SR buttons on the sides are larger, making them more comfortable for horizontal play, and the left and right sticks have been upsized for better control. A highlight of this segment was the official reveal of mouse control support within the Joy-Con controllers, adding a new dimension to gameplay.
