Pokémon Go Launches Wayfarer Challenge in Chile and India for PokéStop and Gym Nominations

Niantic has just announced the exciting Wayfarer Challenge event in Pokémon Go, providing trainers in Chile and India with a unique opportunity to enhance their local gaming environment and earn exclusive rewards. From March 7th to 9th in Chile and March 10th to 12th in India, participants can dive into the Niantic Wayfarer platform to review and approve Wayspot nominations, transforming real-world locations such as landmarks, sculptures, and street art into new PokéStops and Gyms.

By contributing to the review process, you'll help reach community milestones that unlock special rewards. If the community resolves 5,000 nominations, everyone will receive 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. Push the community to 10,000 approvals, and the rewards escalate to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

To participate, you must be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. New users will need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before they can start reviewing. Additionally, you must have recently played in Chile or India or set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To qualify for rewards, review at least 50 nominations, and ensure that at least one milestone is achieved.

Running concurrently with the Wayfarer Challenge is the PokéStop Challenge event, which will take place from March 9th to 12th, exclusively in Chile and India. During this event, you'll earn 3x XP for your first visits to new PokéStops, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and encounter increased Kecleon spawns. Engaging in Event Field Research will give you the chance to encounter Eevee, while Timed Research provides opportunities to catch other Pokémon.
