OVpay is the new way to check in and out on public transport. This companion app gives you a complete overview of every journey. Create an expense report in moments. Want to see in real-time if you’re checked in or out? Just open the app. Forgot to tap in or out? You can fix it right in the app. And to quickly spot your added travel pass? Give it a custom color and name. You’ll never have to search for details again. We’ll keep expanding the app with useful features. Have a great idea or spot something we can improve? Use the feedback button inside the app.

• See live whether you’re checked in or out during your trip.

• Forgot to tap in or out? Adjust it easily in the app.

• Review your travel history and expenses in one clear overview, going back up to 18 months.

• Generate an expense claim and receive it as a PDF in your email.

• Make your added pass easy to recognize by giving it a color and/or label.

How to get started:

• Before using the app, take a trip on a train, bus, tram, or metro.

• Choose your way to check in and out—with your debit card, credit card, or smartphone.

• Traveled on public transport in the Netherlands? Great. Download this app.

• You’ll need an account to access all features. Don’t worry—we’ll guide you step by step.

• Account created. First trip taken. Your new check-in method is added. Now you can use everything the app offers.

What is OVpay?

OVpay is an initiative by all Dutch public transport operators: Arriva, Connexxion, EBS, GVB, HTM, Keolis, NS, Qbuzz, RET, and Transdev, in partnership with Translink. It operates in cooperation with Dutch banks.

This app is part of OVpay. Alongside your ‘OV-chipkaart’, you can now also check in and out using your debit card, credit card, or mobile phone.
