Application Description
An OBD 2 engine ECU diagnostics tool that uses a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth ELM327 adapter is an essential piece of equipment for any car enthusiast looking to diagnose and monitor their vehicle's performance. This application facilitates the display of real-time data from various electronic vehicle systems, utilizing the ELM327 OBDII adapter. Not only does it allow users to view live graphics, but it also offers the functionality to save and review these graphics at a later time. Additionally, the tool is capable of displaying and resetting engine fault codes, commonly known as DTC trouble codes.
One of the standout features of this application is the ability to set custom min/max values for each sensor or PID. When these thresholds are breached, an alarm is triggered, alerting the user to potential issues. The application supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ELM327 OBD adapters, with a recommendation to use adapters version 1.5, as versions up to 2.1 have received numerous complaints regarding their performance.
Important Note: ELM327 chips are only compatible with vehicles equipped with OBD2 support. This includes cars manufactured in the USA since 1996, in European countries since 2001 for gasoline vehicles and 2003 for diesel vehicles, and in Japan since approximately 2000.
Beyond standard OBDII parameters, the application also supports special parameters tailored to various car brands, enhancing its utility across different makes and models. Currently, the following options are available:
- BMW: (DIESEL, E91+AT)
- BYD: (MT20U, ABS)
- Chery: (MT20U, MT20U2, ActecoME797)

Please note that not all PIDs listed for a particular car brand may be supported by your specific vehicle. For convenience, you can select the types of required PIDs in the "Settings / PID types" section.
For certain car brands, such as some Mitsubishi models, the application allows users to control various systems, such as turning on the cooling fan or gasoline pump. To read MUT parameters and control actuators on Mitsubishi models with CAN bus (like Montero/Pajero IV, Outlander 2, etc.), users need to create a profile with the ISO 9141-2 protocol. For reading CAN parameters, the protocol should be set to ISO 15765-4 CAN (11bit 500K) or set to automatic. However, not all Mitsubishi CAN-bus models support ISO 9141-2 connectivity.
The application continuously evolves, with updates adding new models and parameters. Users have the opportunity to create their own custom parameters, enhancing the tool's flexibility and utility.
