Deadlock Receives Major Overhaul with Three-Lane Map Redesign

Valve has released a substantial update for Deadlock, completely revamping its core map design. The four-lane structure has been replaced with a three-lane layout, bringing the game more in line with traditional MOBA conventions.

This significant change is poised to dramatically alter gameplay. Team resource allocation will require a strategic rethink, moving away from the previous "1 vs 2" lane distribution. Expect to see two heroes per lane, necessitating revised strategies and team compositions.

The map's redesign extends to neutral camps, buffs, and other environmental elements. To aid players in adapting to the new layout, a dedicated "map exploration" mode has been introduced, allowing players to freely explore the map without enemy or allied interference.

Further enhancements include modifications to the Soul Orb system. Players can now accumulate souls even without directly securing the final blow on enemies, leading to faster resource acquisition. Soul effect adjustments, such as reduced air hover times, have also been implemented.

This update also incorporates refinements to sprint mechanics and character balancing, along with improved performance and bug fixes. Enhanced support for DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0 technologies is included. Consult the official patch notes for a comprehensive list of changes.
